At Langarth, we’re not just building homes; we’re setting a new standard for sustainable living. Our low-carbon construction practices revolutionise building energy-efficient homes, meeting and exceeding the 2025 Future Homes Standard.
The Future Homes Standard is a government-led initiative that ensures that new homes built from 2025 onwards produce 75-80% less carbon emissions than previous regulations.
We’re proud to be ahead of the curve, with the construction of our first sustainable homes beginning in September 2026. As our community grows, so does our commitment to future-proofing sustainability.
We are proud to embrace the latest advancements in sustainable building, from enhanced building fabrication to low-carbon heating systems and energy-saving technologies, so that you can enjoy a brighter, more sustainable future.
At Langarth, we believe everyone deserves a high-quality home that’s sustainable and affordable. That’s why we’re committed to using leading-edge sustainability practices that lower carbon emissions and reduce energy bills, benefiting our planet and community.
Our commitment goes beyond building homes; we drive change and inspire others to do the same, successfully aligning with government initiatives such as the Future Homes Standard 2025. This is part of a broader vision alongside the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard and the government’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
We’re not just meeting these standards – we’re building future-proof homes today and for generations beyond.
The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard is an emerging framework designed to guide the construction, renovation and operation of buildings in the UK to achieve net-zero carbon emissions. This standard is being developed by industry leaders, including architects, engineers, sustainability experts and government bodies, to establish a clear roadmap for ‘net-zero carbon’ building standards.
These standards consider operational carbon (emissions during a building’s life) and embodied carbon (emissions from building materials and construction). They also highlight factors such as reducing energy demand on buildings through improved design, using carbon off-setting practices, and harnessing renewable energy.
At Langarth, we’re committed to meeting and exceeding the UK Building Standards through a range of forward-thinking, sustainable practices. Our approach ensures that every home we build contributes to a greener future whilst offering our community the benefits of a low-carbon lifestyle. Here’s how we do it:
