Forward-Thinking New Schools at Langarth Garden Village

Langarth Schools

Exceptional Education for Every Stage of Learning

Langarth will provide astounding education spaces for every learning phase. Our plans include two new primary schools, pre-school education and childcare, as well as exploring options to support the new secondary school on the North Coast. We are actively collaborating with existing schools and learning providers to evaluate the extra provision needed to match the growing demand of our new community.

Well-Thought-Out Pre-School & Childcare

We are currently exploring options and partnering with learning providers to provide preschool and childcare at Langarth Garden Village. This will give you convenient access to all the childcare services you and your family need while living at Langarth.

Outstanding Primary Schools

We have confirmed plans for two new primary schools at Langarth. The first will be a three-form entry school, including a pre-school, located in West Langarth. Initially, it will open as a two-form entry school, with the flexibility to expand to three forms as demand grows.

The second primary school will be a two-form entry school, including a preschool near the Governs Round and the new forest area. Thanks to their locations, both schools will also serve as forest schools, allowing children to benefit from outdoor learning environments.

School FAQS

Your Questions Answered

We want to ensure that Langarth meets the needs of young people, both now and in the future.  We have worked with existing schools and learning providers to consider what extra provision is needed at Langarth to match the demand created by the new homes.

 What we are doing:

  • There will be 2 new primary schools at Langarth. The first school – a three form entry school with capacity for up to 675 pupils (including a pre school) – will be sited in West Langarth. Currently due to be completed in 2026 , this will be initially built as a two form entry school, allowing for an extension to three form entry when demand requires.
  • The second school – a two form entry school with capacity of up to 465 pupils (including a pre school) will be constructed adjacent to the Governs round and new forest area. The location of both schools means they will be suitable for use as a forest school.
  • We are also looking at pre-school education and childcare
  • We are supporting the plans for the new secondary school on the North Coast. In the short term we have worked with Penair School to increase its capacity to accommodate additional pupils during the first few years of the development.
