Langarth Garden Village

A new, sustainable community in Cornwall

Living in Langarth means being part of a distinctive community with beautifully designed homes which meet the needs and budgets of all sectors, set in high quality open spaces. A community where schools, innovative workspaces and health, cultural and leisure facilities are connected by walkable corridors, providing an unrivalled quality of life. A community where residents of all ages can enjoy the benefits of rural life while having easy access to, and positive connections with the city and surrounding communities.

Langarth is a place where people will live, work and thrive.

Site stats

New trees

We are planting over 5 hectares (12 acres) of new woodland as part of the Forest for Cornwall and other trees throughout the site to support cleaner air and help capture carbon.

Megawatts of green energy

We want to achieve net zero carbon for Langarth by providing high levels of insulation on buildings and the use of heat pump technology and solar panels to reduce energy use.

Affordable homes

Our beautifully designed homes will meet the needs and budgets of all sectors, including homes for key workers such as student nurses and teachers, and extra care housing for older people and people with disabilities.

Green space

Langarth will provide around 117 hectares of green space, with green corridors and tree lined streets, attractive woodlands and hillside areas, parks, allotments, community orchards and gardens and play areas.

An attractive & healthy environment

Langarth will provide an attractive and healthy environment for people to live in, grow, and develop, surrounded by nature. A place with green infrastructure at its heart, delivering a wide range of homes to suit everyone and jobs for all age groups.

New pedestrian and cycle links will encourage people to explore new areas of forest, parks, and green spaces, with a new road and interconnected green corridors providing joined up and accessible transport links.

New schools, play and leisure areas will provide a safe place for children and young people to learn and live. Low carbon homes with low running costs will deliver cheaper and more sustainable energy for residents and businesses.
