The provision of the NAR will take traffic heading to the hospital off the A390 and ultimately other measures will reduce traffic over time.
The effect of a lower speed limit on the A390 is being investigated – impact on peak and non peak times alongside on air pollution levels.
The A390 will have boulevardier trees which will also assist during summer times.
