By designing for climate change resilience and creating a zero carbon, sustainable environment, Langarth will play a key role in supporting Cornwall Council’s Climate Emergency Plan.
A new energy centre will ensure greater use of renewable energy created and used on site and will increase capacity to support the future use of electric vehicles. This will make it easier to incorporate renewable energy into the new community as it grows, and help Cornwall to move away from carbon dependency.
