The Langarth Garden Village proposals have been developed to include higher density to support sustainability and make more efficient use of the land.  The densities are set out in a density parameter plan which allows for a variation in density in different areas reflecting the character of different areas and access to public transport corridors. The overall net density is 42 dwellings per hectare. The highest density areas are the locations for proposed extra care facilities and /or student/key health worker accommodation units, located in local centres along the NAR. Open space is provided throughout the site and accessible to all section of the development, with lower heights and densities proposed for sensitive areas such as Governs Round.
