The height parameter plan provides a guide to the maximum height that any buildings at Langarth would be restricted to. While the maximum height will be four storeys in the area adjacent to the A390, the plan provides flexibility for up to five storeys to give the opportunity to consider creating a building that is intentionally prominent in a specific area. Differing heights reflect a changing character for this location which is a key element of the scheme. Providing more accommodation will also create more footfall and will naturally reduce traffic speed. A landscaped corridor is proposed along the northern edge of the A390. Part of the development boundary, this will include a cycle lane and adequate pavement, providing a safe edge to the A390.
