Will the reduction of parking spaces at RCHT for their improvement works affect the Garden Village scheme?

The Langarth proposals provide for the redevelopment of the temporary surface car parks at the northern edge of the site to support RCHT’s proposals for improvements. This land however remains in the control of RCHT, and any development of the site would be led by the hospital trust itself. The trust are reviewing their parking strategy and provision, and are expected to bring forward their own proposals for their site in due course.

The Langarth Garden Village development will include a significant expansion of the Langarth park and ride with a further 600 spaces which in turn can further support improved access and parking for the hospital site as well as reducing pressure on the A390.
